Design Thinking for Libraries – Imke de Korte, Eindhoven Library
How to innovate in a library? What steps do you take to design meaningful solutions for your library?
With Inspiration, Ideation and Iteration we create these solutions. Next we get them to scale, so we design a library that’s ready for the future!
What drives you?
My inner drive, to contribute to making the World more beautiful!
What are the three things you would take with you on a deserted island?
An endless book, good music and my toothbrush
What emerging technologies/trends do you see as having the greatest potential in the short and long run?
The power of purpose, more than ever we want to live life to the fullest and have a sens of purpose in everything that we do. Money is no longer a goal, but a way to live life to the fullest. That’s the power of purpose.
What kind of impact do you expect them to have?
It will change the way that we live and the choises we make. Do we want to live in a big house with a big car or do we want to live in a tiny house and work less so we can live more?
What are the barriers that might stand in the way?
People from older generations who are still money driven.
What do you hope people to learn from your presentation?
That with the right tools everyone can be innovative and creative.
